The best part about living in a coastal town is the fact that you can enjoy fishing during any part of the year. Pawleys Island is the perfect place to go if you want to enjoy beautiful lowcountry scenery and an abundant amount of places to relax and go fishing.

Winter fishing near Pawleys Island is a perfect for catching redfish, black drum, sea bass, trout, and more. Or, you can always try your hand at oystering. And, once March rolls around, flounder, speckled trout, and speepsheads start to come out.

While you’re here, you can opt to go fishing on your own, or sign up for a fishing charter. If you choose to do things yourself, be sure to make sure you have any fishing licenses you need through the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR). Click here for more info.

Pawleys Island and neighboring Murrells Inlet boast many different places to fish including creeks, the Waccamaw River, the inlet, and the ocean. Any of these are great for winter fishing near Pawleys Island.
