Inshore Xtreme Fishing Charter

89 Commons Court, Pawleys Island, SC, • 843-957-8319

Captain Rob Beglin has been fishing local waters for more than 15 years. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania transplant, who moved to the Lowcountry in 1990, combines his passion for fishing and nature in his popular charter service. Beglin has fished on Redfish Tour Pro circuits since 2004, with dozens of top 10 finishes to his credit, and he shares this expertise with his customers.

Beglin’s 19-foot Ranger fishing boat can accommodate up to three people, and he has business partners who can handle larger groups. For a rate of $300 for four hours ($450 for a six-hour day trip to Charleston), anglers of all skill levels can cast their lines into scenic Lowcountry waters while drinking in the unmatched beauty of their surroundings.

During the spring, redfish and trout are plentiful, and flounder begin to show up later in the season as word gets out among the aquatic community that baited hooks are back in the warmer water. Inshore Xtreme Fishing provides rods and reels, bait and tackle, and ice, along with fishing licenses and complimentary photos. Perhaps best of all, someone will even clean and package all the fish you catch.

Anglers should bring a light jacket, sunscreen, a camera, and food and drink (alcohol is permitted in moderation.) Be warned: Beglin remains a devoted Steelers fan, but so far, no Patriot or Ravens supporters have ended up as fish food. Reviewers rave about Beglin’s knowledge and attentive assistance. One reviewer who reckoned her family caught at least 30 fish wrote: “We’d always wanted to try a deep sea charter, but after this trip, we don’t think it could be nearly as fun. The area was absolutely beautiful, and (Beglin) was a phenomenal guide and instructor. We made some great memories and can’t wait for the next time!”

A 50 percent deposit is required when a charter date is confirmed. For a memorable day on the water, with the added lure of a tasty dinner, give Captain Rob a call.
