THE PALACE THEATRE IS NO LONGER IN OPERATION

This live entertainment venue at Broadway at the Beach is home to several award-winning shows that run throughout the year, and it’s also one of the only theaters on the Grand Strand where locals and visitors can catch touring tribute acts such as Hotel California, Almost Queen, and Beatlemania Now.

The first thing that most guests will notice upon entering the building is the large, golden-domed lobby with crystal chandeliers and a winged staircase flanking the room, giving the space a royal feel. The main auditorium boasts an impressive 2,638 seats, divided into mezzanine and main floor orchestra levels, with plenty of handicap-accessible spaces.

Palace Theatre is a destination for the two long-running live entertainment shows that play several times each week: Hot Jersey Nights and Carnival of Magic. Hot Jersey Nights, a nostalgic tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, is a harmony-filled blast of nostalgia featuring authentic costumes, first-class musical arrangements, and the band’s greatest hits, including “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Rag Doll,” “Walk Like a Man” and numerous other tunes that audiences love singing along to.

For those looking for an evening of “magic, mystery, and mayhem, Carnival of Magic is ready to take you there. Magician Peter Gossamer wows crowds with never-before-seen illusions, and “America’s Got Talent” alums Christian Stoinev & Scooby the Dog, and King BMX Team captivate audiences like no other show on the Grand Strand. Crossbow specialist Ben Blaque, also of “America’s Got Talent” also perfoms in the show.
