While the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk is home to tons of awesome places to grab fresh, Lowcountry seafood dishes, The Claw House offers a different type of seafood experience for those visiting the area. The Claw House is family-friendly New England style lobster house that also boasts an extensive raw bar. Though The Claw House is a New England style restaurant, their seafood is still fresh, as it is delivered to the restaurant twice a week in a special refrigerated truck.

The Claw House is open for lunch and dinner, and while the lunch menu is small, it packs a lot of flavor. Lunch options at The Claw House include a Soup & Sandwich combo, Claw House Club, Hot Beef & Cheddar, BBQ Chicken Pizza, Slider Sampler (one oyster, one crab cake, and one cheddar burger slider), Surf & Turf Tacos, Hot Italian Panini, and a Tuna Melt.

The dinner menu is much more extensive, featuring Starters, Salad & Soup, Oysters, Combos, Sandwiches, Seafood, Whole Lobsters, and a portion called By Land for landlubbers. There are also options available for children!

Starter options include Clams Casino Dip, Mussells Marinara, Carnitas “Wings,” Whole Belly Fried Clams, Asian Pork Pot Stickers, Crab Nachos, Baked Littleneck Clams, and Steamer Clams. For lighter options, The Claw House also offers a variety of soups and salads.

Of course, one of the main attractions at The Claw House is the Oyster Bar, which offers a selection of oysters as well as Jonah Crab Claws, Littlenecks on the 1/2, Tuna Ceviche, Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, and Lobster Cocktail and combo plates.

If you’re in the mood for a seafood entree, The Claw House has several great choices such as Maryland Crab Cakes, Lobster Mac N Cheese, Baked Haddock, Linguini & Clam Sauce, Grilled Swordfish, Baked Stuffed Shrimp, Grilled Salmon, and Fried Seafood, and Whole Lobsters.

The sandwich selection include The Lobster Roll, the Lobster Salad Roll, Low Country BLT, Claw House Burger, Crab Cake Sandwich, Chicken Panini, Fish & Chips, Oyster Po’ Boy, Soft Shell Crab, and a Clam Roll.

The Claw House also has selections for those who aren’t too big into seafood. The “By Land” section of the menu offers Beef Tender Medallions, Pork Ribeye, Chicken Alfredo, and Eggplant Parmesan.

After feasting on an amazing entree at The Claw House, finish off your meal by induling in one of their desserts such as Turtle Cheese Cake, Pecan Pie, and Peanut Butter Pie.
