North Myrtle Beach

Located on the North End of the Grand Strand, North Myrtle Beach is a bustling community that is home to tons of fun things to do. From award-winning shows, dining, and shopping, to the top-notch accommodations, and the ever-famous Carolina shag dance, North Myrtle Beach is a wonderful place to visit while in town.

The North Myrtle Beach area is split up into several different sections including Atlantic Beach, Cherry Grove Beach, and Little River.

Atlantic Beach is a small, historic town that boasts a culture rich history. This town was formed by the Gullah-Geechee people after slavery was abolished, and to this day it still remains the only Black owned beach in the United States. Atlantic Beach is home to the popular Atlantic Beach Bike Week that takes place each Memorial Day weekend.

In the late 1960’s, Cherry Grove Beach combined with Crescent Beach, Ocean Drive Beach, and Winy Hill Beach and became the city of North Myrtle Beach. However, Cherry Grove Beach still has its own identity as a laid-back, beautiful beach town.

Little River is situated near the North Carolina/South Carolina border, and this quaint fishing town is known for fresh caught seafood. In addition to visiting Little River for its food and friendly people, locals and vacationers often stop here to visit the Big M Casino boat, and take part in the annual Blue Crab Festival every May.

Of course you’ll want to visit all of the parts of North Myrtle Beach, but big attractions here include Barefoot Landing, as well as Main Street and Ocean Drive where locals and vacationers hang out at their favorite bars, restaurants, and nightclubs. Feast on fresh seafood, enjoy the beach, and have a blast with friends and family in North Myrtle Beach!
