Fourth of July in Pawleys Island
The Fourth of July brings big celebrations to the Grand Strand every year. For us, it is a day of community, fun, and being grateful for living in the country that we call home. Because July 4th is such a huge day in Pawleys Island and surrounding areas, there are many events, parties, and celebrations that are noteworthy and fun for all.
2022 marks the celebration of the 55th annual Fourth of July Parade in Pawleys Island! The parade will take place at 10 a.m. on July 4th, and anyone can participate by creating and decorating makeshift floats in the spirit of Independence Day. If you would like to register a float in the parade, you can do so at Town Hall at 321 Myrtle Avenue in Pawleys Island. The cost to enter is $20 in advanced, and $30 the day of. Celebrate Independence Day at the annual Murrells Inlet Boat Parade! Participants decorate their boats in a patriotic style and float on down the Inlet as onlookers celebrate from dry land. The Murrells Inlet Boat Parade will take place at 11 a.m. July 4th and will start from Garden City Point and end at the Hot Fish Club.
After, head to the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk for fireworks at 10 p.m. at the end of Veterans Pier. Fireworks can be viewed on the MarshWalk.
Salute from the Shore is an annual event where F-16 jets and vintage planes fly over the South Carolina coast in honor of Independence Day. This year, head out on the beach with your American flags waving and watch as these planes fly high above. The event starts at 1 p.m. in Cherry Grove on July 4th.
