Atlantic House Restaurant
Located in downtown Georgetown near the Harborwalk, Atlantic House Restaurant boasts tastes from Key West to Bar Harbor, with all of their seafood sourced from the Atlantic Coast.
After owning an operating the Roz’s Rice Mill Cafe in Pawleys Island for 16 years, Roz Wyndham and her husband decided to open up the Atlantic House Restaurant in Georgetown. Roz wanted to build a smaller restaurant where she could spend more time cooking and interacting with customers, and that’s exactly what happens at the Atlantic House.
Atlantic House Restaurant offers a lunch and dinner menu. Lunch is available Monday – Friday from 11 am until 2 pm, while dinner is available Wednesday – Friday from 5:30 pm until 9 pm. The bar is also open Wednesday – Friday from 5 pm until 9 pm.
The lunch menu at Atlantic House features three different soups of the day, salads, sandwiches, fried seafood, burgers, hot dogs with different toppings, and the unique Walking Hot Cups such as Low Country Gumbo, Hunter Duck Stew, and Shrimp & Country Ham, each served with cornbread. A notable lunch item is the Atlantic House Signature Sandwich, which is a portobello mushroom sandwich with grilled shrimp and portobello mushrooms and a goat cheese spread.
For dinner, guests can opt for a soup, or start with an appetizer like the Chilled Oyster Cocktail, Baked Jalapeno Pimento Cheese with House Chops, Truffle Fries, Fried Okra Bites, Pan Sauteed Calamari, the Fritter Trio (conch fritter, shrimp & corn fritter, and crab fritter), and more. Salads also make a great starter and guests can choose from the Marinate Tomato & Cucumber Red Onion Salad, Watermelon, Feta, and Mint Salad, and the House Salad with Fried Okra Croutons.
Main plates here include a selection of burgers and entrees. Sink your teeth into a burger with as the Portobello Mushroom and Gouda Cheeseburger, Guacamole BLT Burger, or the Spinach Salad Burger with Warm Bacon Dressing.
Hungrier guests can dig into a delicious entree like the Grilled Hoisin Shrimp & Summer Mango Slaw Salad; Italian Summer Pasta Salad; Low Country Red Bean Gumbo with Sausage, Shrimp & Crab Over House Grits, Caprese Summer Salad Flatbread; Grilled Honey Chicken with Sweet Peppers & Onions; Avocado, Fresh Cut Corn, Grape Tomatoes Salad with Grilled Steak Bites; Grilled Salmon with Asparagus & Feta Salad; Flounder Shrimp Creole; and Shrimp & Grits.
