Step into the Thomas Café on 703 Front Street in Georgetown and you might think you’d stepped back in time. This charming diner hasn’t changed much since it opened more than 75 years ago; loyal locals like it that way. Open for breakfast and lunch, Thomas Café caters to a regular downtown business crowd that comes to share stories and enjoy the traditional Southern fare. The reasonable prices make it an easy place to visit over and over again.

Café owner Ernest Brunson, who purchased the diner a little more than 4 years ago is loyal to the menu items that made this restaurant an institution – and he has also added a few of his own signature items to spice things up! Brunson, who was born and raised in Florence, SC is a 1993 graduate of Johnson and Wales University and cut his culinary teeth in such prestigious locations as Hilton Head Island, St. Simon Island, Tampa, and The Cloister on Sea Island in Georgia.
