Pawleys Island Events: Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival Preview

Fall is the perfect time for outdoor events in Pawleys Island, as the weather is temperate and people love to be outside in the fresh air. Each year, those who live in and around Pawleys Island and the rest of the Grand Strand make their way to the Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival at Huntington Beach State Park for a weekend of family-friendly fun.

Dates, Location, and Admission Price

The Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival will take place on the following dates and times:

•Friday, September 27, 2019 from 12 pm – 6 pm
•Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 10 am – 6 pm
•Sunday, September 29, 2019 from 10 am – 5 pm

The event will be held at the Atalaya Castle at Huntington Beach State Park located at 16148 Ocean Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576

Daily festival admission is $10 for adults. Once you pay admission, you may come back throughout the weekend with your ticket. Park admission is free during the festival. Park Passport Plus holders will get free festival admission for the passport holder and three guests. Visitors 15 years old and younger will also get to enter the festival for free.

Festival Information

The three-day Atalaya Arts and Crafts festival is held at Atalaya, the former home of Archer and Anna Hyatt Huntington (you may recognize their names from visiting Brookgreen Gardens across the street). The festival will include over 100 artists selling their work throughout the weekend. Attendees will also enjoy live music from a variety of local musicians, as well as a food court with an array of menu items.

Food Vendors

The food vendors that will be at the 2019 Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival include Drunken Jack’s, Inlet Affairs, Dixieland Kettle Corn Company, Clean Eatz, Paradice Homemade Ice Cream, and Tebo’s Dog House.
