Russell’s Seafood Grill and Raw Bar opened in 1993, but owner Russell Vereen’s Murrells Inlet restaurant experience began long before that. In 1963, Russell’s parents bought Wayside Restaurant, where, at the age of 10, Russell began washing dishes and bussing tables.  The work ethic that he learned through his hard work at his parents’ restaurant is one of the reasons that Russell’s Seafood Grill and Raw Bar has been a local and visitor favorite for over two decades.

Work ethic is a reason, but Russell’s food is THE reason why this restaurant has been so successful. Boasting a wonderful location on the Inlet, Russell’s Seafood Grill and Raw Bar serves some of the best (if not the best) seafood in the area.

Begin your meal with one of Russell’s fabulous appetizers. Choose from seafood favorites like Cajun style fried crawfish tails, clams casino, oyster Rockefeller, coconut shrimp, shrimp cocktail, conch fritters, and many more. Soups and salads are also available if you’re looking for lighter fare.

For those of you who are really hungry, check out the main dishes. Try out one of Russell’s baskets where you can choose from an oyster basket, shrimp basket, or deviled crab basket. Sandwich enthusiasts, there are quite a few options for you as well. Opt for a burger, chicken sandwich, crab cake sandwich, shrimp sandwich, or oyster sandwich.

There is also a wide array of entrées available as well.
