This old-fashioned no-frills diner has been serving up a stunning variety of breakfast and lunch options since 1968. Whether you’re in the mood for a meat-and-three, one of their daily lunch specials, or a juicy burger, Litchfield Restaurant has an affordable feast waiting for you.

For breakfast, all of the familiar options like Omelets, Pancakes, Waffles, French Toast, Eggs, and Pastries are all available. Selections from the Local Favorites menu include Chicken Fried Chicken and Eggs, Fish and Grits, Biscuits and Gravy, and Get ur Done, a plate of two pancakes and two eggs with bacon or a sausage patty. Breakfast sandwiches are also available, including things like a Country Ham Biscuit, Egg Sandwich with bacon, sausage, or ham, and a Pork Chop Biscuit.

Lunch begins at 11 a.m. each day, and the options include Plates, Sandwiches, Salads, Burgers, and Daily Specials.

Plates include items like Fried Flounder, Crab Cakes, Chicken Fried Steak, Barbecue, Pork Chop, and a Ribeye, and each are served with fries, slaw, and a roll. If you’re in the mood for something a little more decadent, check out the Chili Cheese Fries or Chili Cheese Tater Tots.

Pretty much everything that’s available as a plate is also available as a sandwich, but other options include the Club Sandwich, a DC Special (roast beef, Swiss, horseradish), Tuna Melt, and Buffalo Chicken Tender Sandwich.

For Burgers, guests can choose from hand-pattied creations like the Billy Burger (bacon, Swiss, onion rings, lettuce, tomato, mayo), a Mushroom Swiss Burger, and the gargantuan Double Chili Cheeseburger Deluxe, all served with your choice of fries, onion rings, tater tots, homemade potato salad, or homemade macaroni salad.

And those in the mood for something a little healthier can choose from a list of salads that includes a Chef Salad, BLT Salad, Buffalo Chicken Tender Salad, Grilled Chicken Salad, and more.

Inside this unassuming building on a quiet stretch of Ocean Highway, guests will find clean wooden tables, stools at the counter, and walls decorated with kitschy diner art. It’s a locals spot for sure, but not in the “Dumb & Dumber” sense of the term. And while we wouldn’t recommend tossing a salt shaker across any restaurant, diner or otherwise, the locals are a generally friendly bunch just looking to have an honest meal.
