Bob Hoffman opened the first location of DeRoma’s Pizza back in 2000 in Pawleys Island, and throughout the years as his pizza became known amongst locals and visitors, he opened his second location in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Hoffman was born and raised in New York, and when he moved to the South, he wanted to bring authentic New York style pizza along with him.

The pizza at DeRoma’s Pizzeria is made with fresh, homemade bread that is made every day, along with other fresh and top quality ingredients such as homemade sauce. And while pizza is definitely the focus here, DeRoma’s offers a full menu that is chock-full of an array of delicious treats.

Start off your meal with an appetizer such as Stuffed Bread Dippers, Garlic Bread (with or without cheese), Wings, or Mozzeralla Sticks.

After nibbling on your starter item, move onto entrees such as specialty pizzas. Specialty pizza options here include Meat Lovers, Combo, Hawaiian, Supreme, Veggie, White, and The Dude, which is a Ranch based pizza with buffalo chicken and bacon, topped with a blend of three different cheeses. Or, if you’re not interested in a specialty pizza, try creating your own! Choose a pizza size, as well as toppings like chicken, ham, pepperoni, Italian sausage, meatballs, bacon, extra cheese, feta cheese, pineapple, anchovies, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, banana peppers, sweet peppers, jalapenos, green olives, roasted red peppers, broccoli, or spinach.

If you’re craving something other than DeRoma’s delicious pizza, you can always try a different menu item such as a hoagie sandwich, parmesan sandwich (meatball, chicken, eggplant, or Italian sausage), pasta (manicotti or stuffed shells), or a salad. Of course, don’t forget to finish off your meal with a dessert such as Tiramisu, chocolate mousse, Limoncello cake, Oreo Blast Pie, or a brownie.
