For lunch, Appetizer selections include Fried Pickles, Mozzarella Sticks, Peel n’ Eat Shrimp, Hot Wings, Cheese Fries, and Onion Rings.
The Salad list features the standard House, Caesar, and Chef, as well as a Fried Chicken or Shrimp Salad, Seafood Salad, and Grilled Chicken Salad with your choice of Ranch, Bleu Cheese, Italian, French, or Balsamic.
For something on bread, options include Hamburgers and Cheeseburgers, a Philly Cheese Steak, Whiting or Shrimp Po Boy, Bacon Chicken Melt, and Bologna Sandwich, and each is served with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, and French fries.
But the real treat at Aunny’s are the Weekly Specials where guests choose one meat and one vegetable from a list that changes daily. Fried Chicken is available each day, along with Pork Chops and Meatloaf on Tuesdays; Liver and Onions and Spare Ribs on Wednesdays; Baked Chicken, BBQ Chicken, and Pepper Steak on Thursdays; Fried Shrimp, Shrimp and Grits, and Fried Fish on Fridays; Hog Maw (pig belly) and Cubed Steak on Saturdays; and on Sundays it’s the Chef’s choice.
Weekly Special Sides include a revolving selection of items like Chicken Pilaf, Lima Beans, White Rice, Peas and Carrots, Potato Salad, Pig Feet Pilaf, Neck Bone Pilaf, Corn on the Cob, Baked Beans, Cole Slaw, Red Rice, Yellow Rice, and Collard Greens.
And this is one of those places where you’ll want to save room for dessert, or at least carry some home with you, and options include Sweet Potato Pie, Banana Pudding, Peach Cobbler, Chocolate Cake, and Jello.
