Pawleys Island is a great place to spend time with the family, and December is no exception. In addition to Brookgreen's spectacular Nights of a Thousand Candles, area theatres are putting on some great Christmas shows to help get everyone in the holiday spirit.
Brookgreen Gardens, one of the area’s most scenic properties, takes on a whole new dimension each December as thousands of candles are strategically placed and lit all around the gardens. There’s also an 80-foot-tall Holiday Fir tree decked out with 60,000 lights, as well as carolers, a bagpipe player, and hand bell ringers lending seasonal music to the atmosphere. In addition to the strolling singers and ringers, visitors will also have the opportunity to see a variety of performances by contemporary pianists, jazz trios, pop chorale ensembles, and dulcimer players. Dates are December 6-9; 13-16; and 2-22, and festivities are open from 3-10 p.m. each day.More Details
